Welcome to an event about career paths for early-career researchers in Sweden.
Universities offer inconsistent and unstable academic career tracks, reducing their international competitiveness and ability to harness the enormous potential of academics in Sweden. How can we create the best conditions for early-career researchers to thrive and contribute maximally to their local, national and international academic communities? The event will feature talks and discussions with key players and decision-makers in academia and government.
Lund University Future Faculty together with National Junior Faculty organises a panel debate on the 17th May 9:00-12:00 on "Flexibility and Stability in the Academic Career Path" with the following invited speakers:
- Mats Persson: Minister of Education
- Madeleine Durbeej-Hjalt: General Secretary for Medicine and Health Swedish Research Council
- Christina Lunner Kolstrup: Dean LTV, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences
- Per Mickwitz Pro vice-chancellor, Lund University
- Sanna Wolk: Union President SULF
